An unboxing and first look at the Amok Draumr 3.0 hammock for camping, backpacking, & lounging.
This a quite different looking, flat laying hammock that is specifically made to work with your existing sleeping pad. It looks pretty cool – almost like a floating one person tent! Stay tuned for updates usage in the field on upcoming backpacking and hammock camping trips.

A discussion on whether I or not I should go back to using the Sawyer Squeeze instead of the Sawyer Mini water filter.
After some issues with reduced flow rate, occasional clogging, and an increased need for back-flushing, I’ve begun to wonder if I should return to using the original Sawyer PointONE Squeeze instead of my beloved Sawyer Mini filter. What do you think?

Operation:
To turn on/off the light:
Press the tail cap halfway to momentarily activate the light. Click the tail switch to turn the light on and off.
To change modes:
Five modes in total: firefly, low, medium, high, and strobe.
When the light is on, single press the side switch to rotate among firefly, low, medium and high. Long press to get strobe and then single press to end it.
Memory function:
The light will turn on in the last mode accessed, except for strobe.
Battery replacement:
Take off the tail cap, insert the battery with positive polarity toward the LED assembly(head of the light), install the tail cap and tighten all the way to operate the light.
